These are typical dressmaking patterns of the kind that we had during WW2.
The above cardigan suit was knitted for Spring and Autumn wear.
It was knitted in 3-ply crepe wool and was very fashionable in the 1940s.
It took ages to knit and could be a pain when washed, because everything had to be pulled and
patted into shape again and dried flat.
You would have to be a very keen knitter to sit and knit a suit like this.
